Pleasant People Inc. was founded in 1997 by Stedman and Joyce Pleasant as
human service professionals, their goal was to assist and educate those who
suffer from abuse and addiction of alcohol and drugs, who wish to live a productive and a high quality of life.
Joyce is a licensed Independent Chemically Dependency Counselor ( LICDC ),
Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor ( ICCS ), Internationally Certified
Alcohol & Drug Counselor CADC ), with over 25 years of experience in providing
consumer services & program development, specializing in working with
ex-offenders their families, adult male and females with substance abuse and
trauma issues. Joyce developed programming for women and babies in
Residential Inpatient Treatment, Adult male and female Outpatient Treatment,Transitional Housing Programs, and Driver's Intervention Programs.
Joyce Pleasant is a Licensed Ordained Minister since 2003. Joyce was trained
as an evaluator for the Ohio Chemically Dependency Professional Board, a
Sponsor Program facilitator of Chemical Dependency Workshops offering RCH's for The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board since 2004.A Sponsor Program for trainings for the Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board offering ( CPE's ). Joyce is also a published author.The work of a non-fiction book titled "Diary of a Patient Her Illness, Family and Friends.First published by Authorhouse Publishing Company. Copywrited in 2005. Joyce has written (2) other books soon to be published.
